Doron Yaya-Stupp
MD, PhD
I’m an independent researcher with an MD and PhD in Bioinformatics from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. My PhD work focused on phylogenetic profiling for studying orphan diseases and drug repositioning, and my M.Sc. work involved developing computational frameworks for high-throughput characterization of cell-type-specific synthetic promoters.
I was an AI Resident at Google (2021-2023), where I worked on deep learning solutions for medical notes and explored explainability in medical images using generative models.
My research interests lie at the intersection of AI and healthcare, including NLP for medical notes, computer vision for explainability and scientific discovery in medical images, and applications of AI in oncology.
